Dietary Supplements

It is important to supplement your diet with vitamins and anything else that will promote healthy weight management. I have opted to use Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Omega-3 Capsules as well as Green Tea Extract. I also take a postnatal vitamin which I will eventually replace with a Multi-Vitamin.

Vitamin C: An antioxidant, supports the immune system

Vitamin E: Supports antioxidants, protects the skin.

Omega-3: Contains vitamins A & D, as well as 2 essential fatty acids DHA and EPA.  Vitamin A is necessary for good vision and healthy skin. Vitamin D prevents high blood pressure, regulates blood sugar levels and is essential to maintaining strong teeth and bones. DHA is a fatty acid that is essential for the health of the nervous system, the eyes, and also prevents depression. EPA is a fatty acid that promotes cardiovascular health and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Green Tea Extract: Major anti-oxidant! Assists in lowering cholesterol, increases metabolism, and stimulates the immune system.

I’m not one for taking tablets but I believe vitamins are very important so I’m going to do my best to take them. The Omega-3 tablets are rather large and well… lets just say to take it before your meal. Otherwise, it leaves a real bad taste in your mouth.

Thats all for now. My Treadmill is in the basement waiting to be assembled. 🙂

  1. Wonderful that the treadmill is now waiting to be all walked over :). I would love to get a treadmill or an eliptical but hate clutter … don’t think I have the space for it right now. When I do addition to my house then I’ll have more space.

    Vitamins and supplements are extremely important. One good addition is one for colon health to help in cleansing the body of any toxins that it may acquire. I’m now on a regimen of about 7 tablets of vitamins and supplements – Vitamin C, Cod Liver Oil with Omega 3, Lecithin, Acidophilous and Garlic Complex.

  2. You really do need the space. I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have a basement. But hopefully in time with the addition, a cardio machine will have its place in your home.

    I was soooo looking at a cleansing system but I’m terrified! I’ve read of some people having tummy cramps, diarrhea (ugh)… I’m just nervous of any side effects. But I will certainly look at my options in a few months from now.
